Using the Directory
Accessing the Directory
In MySHU locate the "Student Tools" or "Employee Tools" menu near the top of the page and select the “Directory” link. The Directory can also be accessed directly at https://my2.setonhill.edu/directory/.
Using the Directory
To search for someone, begin typing a search term in the “Search” bar. You can search by name, email, university ID number, department (employees), or status (student/employee). When looking up employees, you can also search by department name. The Directory’s type ahead search functionality will begin to pull in results as you type. While the search is being conducted, the magnifying glass symbol will become a spinning "loading" wheel. Once the icon returns to a magnifying glass, the search is complete.
Viewing an individuals complete directory listing
You an access an individuals complete directory listing by clicking anywhere in the desired row in the search results.

The table below indicates the information displayed in the search results and complete listings for employee and student users of the directory.

Filtering the search results
Search results may filtered in several ways. Filters can be applied before or after entering a search term in the search bar. The "Status" filter allows you to filter the results list to show just students or employees. When filtering for just employees a department filter will automatically appear. Employee users Directory users will also see a FERPA filter. The "Restricted" filter returns only students who have requested that their directory information not be released.
Removing filters that you no longer want to use
Below the search bar on the left hand side there is the list of tags being filtering by. Remove a filter click the "x" on the tag or reset the filter dropdown to "Select an option." Clicking the "Reset" link in the top-right corner of the filter section will also remove any filters that have been applied.
Adjusting your Directory preference to use Light or Dark Mode
To toggle the Directory between light mode and dark mode, click on your photo in the top-right corner of the Directory window. A dropdown menu will appear. Select the "Switch to Dark Mode" or "Switch to Light Mode" option as desired.
