How to Activate your MySHU Account
Account Activation:
1. Using Google Chrome, enter https://my.setonhill.edu in the Web Address Bar.
2. Click on “Activate your Account”.

3. Enter your Date of Birth and the last six digits of your Social Security Number.

4. Click “Submit”. This could take some time to load; only click once. You will now see your Seton Hill username.
5. This username is for connecting to SHU resources; such as WiFi, Printers, Canvas, Gmail, etc..
6. Enter a password following the complexity requirements explained on the right. Try to use an easy to remember passphrase, some examples are “#BestCollege4Ever” or “GoTeamGo1!”.

7. Once the password requirements have been satisfied, the “Red X” will turn into a “Green Checkmark.” Then enter the same password below in the “Verify” field. Lastly, click on “Set My Password”.

8. This page will confirm that your password was created.

Testing:
1. Navigate to: https://my.setonhill.edu Enter your MySHU Username without the @setonhill.edu. Then enter your newly created password.

2. If you receive a configuration issue message, please try again in 24 hours as this may take time to populate in our systems.

3. We encourage you to navigate to gmail.com to sign in with your “username@setonhill.edu” and the password created in previous steps to check your university email.

*Don’t forget to add your email account to your smartphone as a google account *
Final Steps:
1. Navigate to: https://help.setonhill.edu/setting-up-your-verification-methods
2. Complete the following steps to add your phone number so you can reset your password on your own, in the event you get locked out or compromised.
